I have been using dvd2svcd for some time now, and always convert my avi films to kvcd. Lately there have been quite a few films that the audio is not right ( all xvid ), the picture quality is fine but the audio is very fast( it sounds like the cartoons when someone is nagging on the other end of the phone ). this doesnt happen to all my films, ive tried different codec and searched through forums but have had no joy, ive opened the avi file in Gspot and it says that i have got the proper codecs installed..........any help would be appreciated

Try opening your file in VDubMod. Go to the streams menu > streams list and do "save WAV" to extract the audio to a wav file. Now disable the original audio stream and add the WAV file you just saved as a new audio stream. It's pretty self-explanatory how to do this when you open the software.

Now go to the video menu and select Direct Stream Copy.
Save the AVI from the file menu and close VDubMod.

Try the new file in media player. If it plays OK, do a conversion.
If that doesn't work, do a "File information" from the file menu in VDubMod and tell us the audio information for the original file and we'll see if we can sort this.
