mux x264 AVI outout into MP4

I'm very sorry if it was said before. I really spent a lot of time searching for an answer, but I didn't find one. Now what's my problem:
I compressed a movie using VD and x264 VfW codec. Now I have a (video only) .AVI and I want to put it into MP4 container. How can I do it? All the tools I tried only support h.263. Or am I doing something wrong?

Actually, mp4muxer didn't work all too well for me. The MP4 was always unplayable, even though I entered everything in (the paths to the most recent tools, the source files, the framerate, etc). The resulting file couldn't allocate memory because no size had been set. Do I need an existing MP4 to mux into?

No, you don´t need an existing mp4 for it and sorry, I can´t see your problem. I really can mux every avi (and I tried it again with 3 clips 5 minutes ago) into mp4 with mp4muxer. Maybe something is wrong with your avi? In mp4muxer there are only two restrictions left: You can´t add a NERO ASP mp4 in input 6, you have to add it in input 5 and you have to add a Audio in Audio 1. That´s all I see in the moment.

Try mp4muxer. It will do the job for you. You can get all tools here (http://mp4muxer.movie2digital.com/) . Just install gpac and mpeg4iptools and connect the exe of mp4box, avi2raw and mp4creator with the muxer and start the job.
