I wish I could veiw pages in english without having to click an english link just cause m$ doesn't like firefox
but it was worth a shot
I mean with hte way laws are going now after all next week you could be charged and imprisonded for violation :P

What are you reffering to? Your firefox will not properly display english text reliably? Have you tried adding english to your list of default character encodings? Or setting your default character encoding to UTF-8?
It would be kick arse if more sites used UTF as their default encoding. Sometimes those special characters can come in handy. Or it is really nice to be able to have multiple languages all on the same page! But at least you can use it to decode pages in random languages rather reliably.

hmm?
I ment I kep getting re-directed to japanese pages if I use firefox to click links
but if I use buggy IE I get hte real page not re-directed to the japanese version
it;s a real pain; espeical when my IE got b0rcked cause of buggy sp2 navigateing in Japanese is somewhat difficult good thing I know a bit though
but I agree using udf would be het pwn
but we can't we as consumes want 2/3 the time anywas
anyways
back on topic
some of those vids arn't seeded very well so I droped them..
oh well

Wiggy. I have never had a similar problem. Sounds like whatever sites are doing this are just poorly designed sites. About the only thing I can think of is that perhaps the site is looking at your user agent settings at redirecting you based on that. Try the user agent switcher extension and see if that changes things. I assume from what you said that you are using a japanese version of Firefox on a Japanese version of Windows. So said sites automatically assume you should go to the japanese version if avalible without asking. Odd.

and am running english firefox...
try going on the m$ homepage
you should see what I mean and most site either switch me or say it;s not compatable with firefox
although I guess we should do this in pm seing as how far off topic it is
