I have a dvd with a long series of bad sectors. I let it run to 100 read errors then looked for a setting to cap the amount of retries it makes before deciding a sector is bad.
I found one; checked Device > "Set hardware read error retries" and set the value to 2.
But it still makes 20 retries before deciding a sector is bad. I assume that the setting above was supposed to cap the amount of retries made? If not i reqest one for the next version :)
I seems silly to let it retry 20 times on each sector when they are obivously bad, not to mention the fact it cant do my dvd drive too much good.
