There seems to be a problem with some doubtful (cracked) versions of dvdremakepro 2.6.4 that are swirling around the internet. It putt’s unwanted layer breaks between each chapter. (They surface when you edit the IFO files with IfoEdit) They cause stutter problems on various dvd players and so let this be a warning for people who use this version of remakepro. (Don’t blame it on rebuilder if you encounter stutter problems when using it) The question is: Will rebuilder remove layer brakes in any stage of the rebuilding process???

DVDRemakePro is a fine program and my advice to you all is to buy this editing tool if possible. I’ll never leave home without it……

If I had to guess I would say no. JDobbs is a big fan of leaving everything as pristine as possible as far as dvd structure is concerned. Plus with the nicer dvd players that are out now you cant even notice the layer break.

EDIT: But then again Im obviously NOT Jdobbs so I can't really say for sure.

Just bought version 2.6.6 and it works very very well!

No problems together with DDVDRB so far

Yeah, I think ReMake is a great program.
I use it on all my backups, even the ones that are small enough to fit on a DVD-5 (I really hate those warning & logo screens).
With PGCedit you can do almost all the same things but ReMake is a lot easier to use.
I heard that cracked version give problems, 1 thing to say about that: buy the program (pro version is a bit more expensive but you change pre-, post- & cell commands in an easy way).

completely agree. its the best. im not an expert at any of this, but dvdremakepro sure makes me feel like one.

i have the latest remake/rebuilder and ty media, but unfornately whenever i backup using remake with rebuilder, it has a lot of skips. its really two bad that these two excellent programs cant work together.

@jacota

Did you read the first post?
Using a pirated version of remake would result in skips as you say, I have been using the registered version with almost all my backups with RB, and have never had any problems. (using a pirated version might also lead to problems with menu's)

Not meaning to imply that you use a pirated copy, but when the first post is about how Remake inserts discontinuties in the exported DVD when using a pirated version......

I'll just touch a technical aspect of the discussion. ;) Generally speeking one can't simply remove all "layer brake" flags and expect that disk will play fine - it is necessary to analyze the content of the disk to do it correctly.

bugs in dvdremake should be posted in the ifo/vob editors section since this has nothing to do with DVD-Rebuilder.
