OK - I give up:
Most of the DVDs have a wide screen menu only.
Take for example the Matrix – if I see it on my computer I see the menu, and all the disk, on the wide format. But when I put it on my TV (4X3), the menu is automatically pan-scanned so that I loose the left and right parts and the menu appears on the full screen.
With still menus that’s easy, I only have to set the stills on my project to "4:3 (Pan-scan)" and have two separated subpictures – but how do I make a menu like this using a video file?
Or am I wrong the Matrix (and everything else) is actually using 2 separated menus, and just checking some SPRM to see the format of my TV and display the correct menu according to my setup?
