View Full Version : Problem with VIDEO_TS folder created by DIF4U

I've been having a problem recently with DIF4U. Normally DIF4U creates a VIDEO_TS folder in its working folder with all the original IFO files and any VOB files that are not going to be processed by ReAuthorist (or SceneAid, I've used both). At least that's what my understanding is. The problem is that recently when I go to update the IFOs with BatchIFOUpdate, I find that the VIDEO_TS folder that DIF4U created only contains a few VOB files and no VIDEO_TS.IFO file, nor any other IFO files for that matter. So I can't update the IFOs. This has happened to me consistently for the last three times I've tried to backup two DVDs, Samurai Champloo Vol I and That Obscure Object of Desire. This had never happened to me before this. I'm using DIF4U version 1.4.0. Note, I don't use NUMenu4U because I've never been able to get it to run without problems. Any ideas why I'm having this problem? Thanks in advance.

hi superalf and welcome to the forum!
could you please confirm that you have SELECTED "Create VIDEO_TS using unused VTS'es (and CCEData.txt)" in the Post Processing Options of DIF4U.
also, you are demuxing from a mounted .ISO image, aren't you?
if it is neither of these two things, it might pay to attach a copy of your DIF4U log file, so we can see what is going on.
cheers

I do have the "Create VIDEO_TS using unused VTS'es (and CCEData.txt)" option checked in the post processing option of DIF4U, and I am demuxing from a mounted ISO image. I've attached my DIF4U log file for the demux of Samuraii Champloo, let me know if you want to see the log file of That Obscure Object of Desire, which also didn't work.

Make sure you don't have the "Don't copy menu files...." switch selected... that will prevent your menu files from being copied over.. it assumes numenu has already been run
EDIT: looking at your log file looks like you do have that option checked... note in the log file "(17:38:26) Menu Files are being omitted by request"

Ah, there's my problem. Thanks D3s7. What happened is that I was trying to use NUMENU4U so I switched the "Don't copy menu files...." option on, never got NUMENU4U to work but I forgot to take off that option. Thanks again, everything's working beautifully as before.
