View Full Version : DIF4U Not giving bit rate calcs on main movie?

I just reinstalled Windows on my main machine, and re-installed DIF4U 1.4.0, and now for each demux I do, I get 0 for average bit rate for the main movie?

After installing XP, I did copy my old account doc & settings folder, so some of my old hkey_current_user registry is there now.. Does DIF4U rely on an outside program or something to calculate bitrates?

Thanks..

hi foxmid,

its not something as simple as not having "Create VIDEO_TS using unused VTS'es (and CCEData.txt)" in Post Processing, not selected is it?

beyond that i have no idea, as dif4u does not rely on any external program for bitrate calcs.

are the extras bitrates calculated correctly?

you might want to post your CCEdata.txt file and possibly your dif4u log.

cheers

looks like AviSynth wasn't properly registered, seems like DIF4U incorporates its own version of that, though..

the CCEData.txt has everything one would expect to see, except a 0 for average bit rate..

attaching log...

you're right, my bad..
it just installs a few scripts.

I'll run another demux and see how it turns out.
stupid windows... hate reinstalls.. always miss about 30% of my software!

just processed 2 DVDs using dif4u. 0 bitrate (in ccedata.txt) for the main movie for both DVDs. It correctly sets the bitrate for the extras though.

paste the last bit of the doitfast4u log - in particular the part w/ bitrate calc info

Play the .avs using MPC or Media Player. What error do you get? You should see a red error message if Avisynth can't process it correctly, which I'm guessing happened when you messed up your registry by writing over it. Which, by the way is an extremely bad idea. At most you should want 4 or 5 folders from your old profile. I'm surprised your PC works, since I would think you replaced SIDs that the OS has now recreated differently. You reinstalled your OS for a reason, why would you want to put back old settings, some of which were probably part of that reason?
