I know there are plenty of threads already suggesting new features for dvd rebuilder. Would it be worth creating one sticky thread containing these for people to post in?
My personal suggestions (I know some are duplicates to previous suggestions) :)
- Option to burn with dvd decrypter(/nero like dvdshrink) after rebuild.
- Option to create iso image after rebuild.
- When selecting one-click mode, prompt to empty directories before prepare not on each stage.
- Menu compression.
- When removing audio streams, update audio id tags accordingly so that for example dvd player doesnt think the default audio stream is something that no longer exists.
Cheers, LKT.

strongly agree with the third one (option to delete all folders at once, not on each stage). When I select one click mode I don't look after it anymore (e.g. overnight) and I have DVDRB waiting for me to click OK to delete a folder for ages.

To add option, when selecting working and final directory, to create new one. Now I aalways forget to make new one, thne it is opening explorer, making one etc.

is there any way to do this manually? and also for ripped substreams?
some of my dvds have languages that are selectable by remote, but are not on the dvd.. very annoying ;)

Yes it can be done through ifoedit I think, like selecting the default angle etc. But this is not the right topic for these questions ;)
Let's stick to feature requests only.

Click on "Suppress Warning Prompts" under the Mode Menu.

some other programs (Shrink, DVD Remake, PGCEdit etc.) have that option. Obviously, they made their own code for "Select Directory" or something.
Just something to consider, not a must!

Overwriting the behaviour of the standard dialogue will help :-) I have a piece of delphi code that manages to display a "create folder" button. I can send this to you if you wish :-) Besides that: Keep up your great work!!

Just something to consider, not a must! Many of them just use the dialog for file browsing, which has the "create folder" button on it (the same one you see when you browse in the Setup screen. But it isn't really meant for directory browsing.

I'd like to point out that you might want to use a better deinterlacer than FieldDeinterlace, especially when it's set to interpolate instead of blending.
TDeint (slow) or LeakKernelDeint (fast) are very good ones, I prefer TDeint but it's much slower. The downside is that you'll have to specify the field order, but that can be determined quite easily with a rather simple function.
Of course, you should never deinterlace when you encode for watching on the TV, but sometimes it might be necessary to maintain at least watchable quality on the extras.
Also, what kind of resizing method is used when you resize interlaced material to half-D1 resolution? I don't have any DVDs on my HD at the moment so I can't make a quick test.

Not really necessary IMO given the freely available imgTool Classic, but I guess it could possibly interface with imgTool Classic (or use mkisofs itself)?

Same opinion as above - and of course imgTool can interface with DVD Decrypter. But if jdobbs wants to do these, he's more than welcome - it'll cut out a couple of steps and reduce the pieces of s/w required!

- Menu compression.
Jdobbs has mentioned that this will soon(ish) be included in the Pro version of DVD-RB in a couple of other threads - wahey! :D
@jdobbs... if you wanted somebody to make you a "custom select directory" dialogue w/ a create folder button on, I'm sure they would (in the correct language...?) but would this cause quite a bit of extra work for yourself?
Thanks,

But it isn't really meant for directory browsing. Well -- it just goes to show you. Just when you think you're a pretty smart guy, you miss something like this. :o Thanks to Rockas and Ryan for nudging me into setting the proper flag in the Browse dialog setup.... the "create new folder" option will be in the next version. (Hey! I heard that "snicker" all the way from here in the US!)
