Hi,
I have a many DVDs that I have reordered from old family VHS tapes using a stand a lone dvd recorder. All these DVDs come with no menus or chapters and wanted to add menu and chapters to them.
So I downloaded TMPGEnc DVD Author, ripped one DVD to the HDD, then used TMPGEnc DVD Author to add menus. The problem is that I can't play any audio while editing and adding chapters which makes it really hard. I think that I have to purchase the encoder for the audio.
Is there any other program that would do such thing?
I don't want to convert the whole DVD into AVI and then re cute and re author again.
Any recommendations? Any free ones?
Thanks

I think TMPGENC just doesn't support preview of your audio stream (ac3 probably). You need to demux your audio, decode it to wav (azid for ac3) and feed this audio to TMPGENC separately. I believe you can use this separate audio for chapter editing and then revert to original ripped stream before authoring.

thanks. Any other software that would do the same job but would allow me to preview the audio?
