why is my attached gif not showen?

I have attached a file in my post in Avisynth Development > YUV and RGB color conversion problems. The mod says he did not have any file for approval. So where did this attachment go? I find in many posts similar problems are occuring. Most of the gifs or jpeg images have urls pointing to some outside web sites. Will it not be convenient for this forum to have such an images section and all these attachments go automatically to that place? In that post of mine someone advised me to have a website of my own and keep that image file there. I think thats a very inconvenient way of doing things.

There is always the IMG button. You can post an image link immediately, without moderator approval. All you need is URL. There are many free picture hosting sites; just pick one.

you can alwasy set to auto-delete after month or so too
