People,
On "C'est arrive pres de chez vous", the main menu highlights are unusual (I think). The video background is animated, with red bubbles slowly bursting under each button. When the menu is played in a DVD player, the menu show the bubbles only under the currently selected button. This seems to indicate that the highlights are actually black rectangles that hide the background video for all the buttons but the selected ones. Usually highlights add something to the picture, but in this case, they seem to hide something from it!
Have you guys seen similar menus? Do you know how that works (I don't quite understand how subpics work, i.e., are the subpics divided into buttons? where is the code that defines how a button ear should be highlighted as a function of the currently selected button, etc)?
