from here
http://www.mozillazine.org/talkback.html?article=6206

what this basically means is only Firefox(browser) and Thinderbird(email) will be worked on by Mozilla themselves(if you know what i mean).

so now you will have to download the latest version seperatly i guess. also if you want a webpage editor then download NVU, its based off the old Mozilla editor but has been developed beyond that.

Mozilla suite was old (mozilla, not firefox). Better upgrade their suite to the new tools.

well there was an unofficial 1.8 beta but yes i know what you mean. they did say quite some time ago they were going to do this so i was just announcing its finally happened.

Better upgrade their suite to the new tools.
thats the point though. the suite is officially dead from them. so people will need to download all the seperate parts now as they want them. no problem for people who dont use everything anyway.

I'm pretty sure users have shown what they need quite clearly: they want firefox, and some of them want thunderbird. Mozilla suite, despite being able to do the same as the two above (and much more), never got the popularity...

Just look at these browser statistics (http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp). They are true for this site only, not for the whole of internet, but firefox:mozilla ratio is probably true nevertheless...
