I want to back up my collection of 24 so I can have it on 2 DVDs insead of 6. But when I use DVDDecrypter to rip them I can only get 1 show of 4 at a time. I have to then go make a new folder and rip another show etc etc... this is not fun. Is there a better way to do it?

Hi-

Is there a better way to do it?

No.

Use DVD Decrypter, and make sure it's in IFO mode. From there you'll see the individual episodes and be able to rip them one at a time.

this is the best way is you want to keep each episode in it's own target file (avi, mpg etc).

if you just want to encode the whole dvd for all episodes, you can try and use file mode in auto gk instead. but better to keep each episode in it's own file in my opinion, that's what i do.

Meh stop moaning dude, it is more time consuming but is still the easier option.

I just realized I misread the question badly enough that I thought he was getting one big file with all four episodes in it together. You can select the three-hour file, which shows up in most episodic discs, or switch to file mode, which will rip them all at once. If you do that, though, you'll have to edit the rip to select the episodes before each encode, which can be "less fun" than waiting a few minutes, pressing a couple of keys, clicking Start and waiting a few minutes again, etc. <whew> That was so much work to type, perhapsifItypedeverythingintoonelongsentenceforyoutoreaditwillbemorefunthanhavingmepressthespacebarbetweeneachword.
