Alright, scanned a bit, and found nothing about this anywhere on the boards, so I'm posting the question.

I noticed that when I try to use autogk for adult movies, all those that seem like they are shot with those digital cameras come out looking very grainy and nealry mosaic.

Those that are shot with normal movie cameras look ok.

Note that this happens only when my target size is 700MB.

When I use the percentage to make the video, I have to put it at below 50% to get a good looking vid, but the size is like 2.5 gigs. When I try to use 1 cd size (700mbs), the quality is really bad. If anyone can tell me how to get a 700mb vid that has good quality, I would really appreciate it.
thanks

I took the liberty of editing subject and making this thread a bit less attractive :)

Anyway, it is likely that such source requires heavy filtering, which atm cannot be done within AutoGK. Full GK has to be used instead.

I remember that our pal Hakko504 used to compress them sometimes, and he used to complain like crazy about the difficulty. Handheld cameras, bright and interlaced video, constant action (:)) made the whole process very difficult. He filtered the heck out of them to try and gain compressibility, and used low resolutions.

thanks for the response, guys...and to lenox for the title change. I wonder, any idea if heavy filtering will be a feature in the close future?
thanks!
