Wind Cut?!

Hi!
I don't find anything about wind cut on the PC. I made a nice video, but forgot to enable the wind cut of the camcorder. Now I need a filter for AviSynth, Virtual Dub (or something in that area) so that I can on-the-fly-windcut my DV video when I make an XviD of it.

And does anybody know something about how a wind cut is done, and what "smart wind cut" does better?

I have the same problem, did you ever find a sollution?

I gave my camera to someone to record my wedding but when the battery is swapped it loses all the settings like Wind Cut On.

Does anyone else have any idea's? The wind is really bad so I need to at least reduce the sound or something?

I've search Adobe products and the web but cannot find anything...

No, I stopped looking for a solution.
Funny how some things can not be found on the internet. As far as I understand there are simply certain frequencies that are typical for wind noise that are cut out or lowered. It seems that only an expert in that area can tell what those frequencies are.

Now that I read my very old posting, I think smart wind cut creates a wind noise profile and thus is a type of wind cut that adapts to the specific wind noise of a recording.
