View Full Version : sampling less frames with levels

The question is simple enough, so i hope the answer is equally simple :). Is there a way to adjust the levels filter so the fastest mode isn't one frame per second, but more like one frame per 10 or even 60 seconds? Sampling a whole movie this way takes a bit too long for my taste and i think one doesn't need this many frames to get a decent sampling done.

One frame a second, are you kidding? I don't think it is that slow but I have never use the one for Avisynth. Auto levels,ACDsee, and MSU's smart levels, run about 11 -14 frames per second in VD(xxx) (2.4 gig)

I suspect kingmob is stating that the sampling process is looking at an unnecessarily large number of frames and seeks to widen the sampling interval, while rfmmars interpreted the statement as a complaint that the processing time spent examining a frame is too long.
But perhaps I am the one misinterpreting.

No you are right ViX44. English is not my native language, so it's probably my fault. All i want is virtualdub to sample the video faster (by sampling less frames). The result i then want to use in avisynth.
