Hi,

on this news from heise.de (http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/57221) it was stated that Sagem is going to present a AVC-HDTV receiver at the CeBIT - running with a live stream broadcast from satellite. They guess that the streams are delivered by TF1 - and AFAIK they broadcast using the Eutelsat satellite system.

Did anyone notice a new channel or would it be invisible?
Is it possible to receive/record (not decode) this channel at all with current DVBs budget hardware (not DVBs cards with mpeg decoder and tv-out like Hauppauge Nexus/DVB-s) and software on windows/linux (dvbstream)?
Is anywhere in the world AVC already used for DVB so that demuxing tools are available? I donīt believe that current demuxers would work...

I hope that this question is not too exotic (especially as this is my first post). I am just interested in quality, encoding parameters (like bitrate, complexity of the encoding [weighted prediction etc.?]).

With kind regards

Joerg
