DVD Freezing after using DVDshrink

When i create a backup disk using DVDshrink, the movie plays fine for about two thirds of the movie, but then starts to jump and then eventually freeze. I am using the latest version of DVDshrink, with the settings as described on the Doom9 setup link, i'm also burning using the smooth option.

Should i just be creating the files with DVDshrink and using Nero 6 to burn them instead of letting DVDshrink do it all ?

I have found that when this happen to me it was because DVDshrink was using nero and burning on the cheap disk at the max speed. I stopped DVD shink from burning at the max speed and set so it burned at half the speed of the disk. most of the time I just stop dvdshrink after it is done then go to nero and burn at half the speed of the disk. Make sure your dvdwriter has the latest firmware update.
