View Full Version : Join VOBs to one DVD without menu & infinit loop

Hi, I ran into several problems when using IfoEdit, but here is what I am trying to do:
I have 5 single VOB from different five demo DVDs
I want to put them on ONE DVD
without a menu
after inserting the DVD it should start playing the first clip
after the last clip it should jump back to the first (infinite loop)
So there is no need for chapters at all (but if I could have one at the beginning of each clip, that would be nice :) ).

I came this far: a list of 5 VOBs, named in a sequence and new ifo/bup by IfoEdit. However, with standard settings, I get really strange chaptermarks - one at the beginning, one in the middle of the first clip and one and the beginning of the second clip. The rest of the clips cannot be accessed by chaptermark. No idea how to create a loop

Note: I would surely use TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6, but it gives me this damned "The video sequence header is incorrect." to which no one seemd to have a decent solution up to now.

Thank you very much for your help!!!

did you try using "DVDshrink" in reauthor mode? drag and drop the titles in the order you want, and make the iso (to try on PC). If this wouldn't be enough, try putting the new reauthored DVD in a folder ("Hard disk mode"), and (using PGCEdit) inserting a "Post command". But I think this is 2COOL business ;)
I can't try now, I'll do some tests (I'm quite a newbie) on week-end and - in case no one reply to you - I'll reply on monday morning :D

hi kitanai
use dvdshrink to reauthor you dvd. then use PGCEdit and go to Marcos>DVDShrink Remote Buttons. press OK, then a pop up will will ask you some questions. check off "At the end of the last title, automatically loop back to the first title?" as well as anything else you want it to do. the only thing PGCEdit does not do is make me breakfast. but i think r0lZ is working on it.

edit: Marillo beat me to it.

One tiny problem: in a stand-alone player, the "next-button" does not work. (I said "check all" in the macro menue)

Just to mention it: I now have 1 chapter with 5 titles (which is fine, I don't care :) )

I'm trying to create an infinite looping dvd and I can't seem to understand the directions in this thread.

I've ripped a variety of sections from DVDs using Shrink (6 titles). Now, I want it to loop when I play it back (from hard drive). I've tried to figure this pgcedit approach but I can't get it to work. Could someone please give a little more specific guidence.

I'm using PgcEdit 0.6.1

Thanks in advance.

Install the DVDShrink plugin for PgcEdit. Then use the Plugins -> DVDShrink -> DVDShrink Remote Buttons function. It's automatic.
