HI all,

I have got following files from 2 different files using DVD Shrink v3.1 .... the 2 files are 1.mpeg and 2.wmv

File Name Size
VIDEO_TS.BUP 6KB
VIDEO_TS.IFO 6KB
VTS_01_0.BUP 50KB
VTS_01_0.IFO 50KB
VTS_01_1.VOB 1,048,574KB
VTS_01_2.VOB 1,048,574KB
VTS_01_3.VOB 40,962KB
VTS_02_0.BUP 54KB
VTS_02_0.IFO 54KB
VTS_02_1.VOB 1,048,574KB
VTS_02_2.VOB 1,048,574KB
VTS_02_3.VOB 130,648KB

My question is can I burn the DVD just like that or do I need to do anything else with the files like use an DVD authoring software ?? if so what is the best one to use ??? the above files are in a folder called VIDEO_TS

hope some 1 will help me soon.

Just burn it to the DVD now. DVD Shrink *is* an authoring program.

tx for the quick reply neuron2 ... if I burn this to a DVD will it play on a stand alone DVD player ??? but some 1 told me I have to rename VTS_02_1.VOB to VTS_01_4.VOB , VTS_02_2.VOB to VTS_01_5.VOB and so on ?? is that true ???

Don't rename anything. Just burn it and try it!

@mediya

It's a very good practice to test play your DVD before burning. ;)

@mediya

Burn to a RW first to check. Also, if you're nervous about the burn, you might like to play your files in a software player - eg PowerDVD.

I tried to play with PowerDVD and it does end everything is ok but for couple of mimor problems .. first is towards in end of first half of the movie (I think VTS_01_3.VOB) the voice is not syncronised I mean the picture is ahead of the voice if you know what I mean and the other problem is the slider bar, it goes to the end of the first part and goes back to the beginning when the second half of the movie starts .... how can I fix these ??? Hope you understand what I mean

The first problem is unusual in that it implies your source files were not in synch.

The second problem, if it is really one, is fixed by merging the titles. This assumes you have the same aspect ratios and audio types in both. If so, you can do this easily in VobEdit (see here (http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/joinclip.html#joindbl)) or if you have Nero, Nero Recode can do it, too.
