Hi,

Let's suppose one has 4 codecs, all capable of decoding DivX3 (xvid, divx5, ffdshow and DivX ;-)) and the default codes is now divx. Is there any way/program that allows to change default codec for a certain fourcc code?

I'm asking because recently I've installed WinDVD6 and along with it an alternative mpeg4 codec has been installed and set as default codec for xvid movie. Unfortunatelly it caused troubles, so I had to unregister it, because I couldn't find any way (other than reinstalling xvid codec) to make xvid the default codec for xvid movies.

That's what I'd like to check :) Maybe not if it can, but how it would behave when playing DivX3.
