I have a problem with autogk 1.93, ever since I updated to 1.93 and also installed gk0.35.0

I'm trying to backup "the life of david gayle" with autogk. But when it's converting the AC3 to mp3 it doesn't encode the entire AC3. I've tried many times and the encoding varies, sometimes it encodes 50min and sometimes only 12seconds, it varies in between those.

And one more thing... when 2nd pass starts, it doesn't abort, even though the track is shorter than the movie.

any help would be much appriciatet :)

Did you check that AC3 file is fine? (also if its random then often it means hardware problems)

There's no problem with the AC3 file. but autogk first launches azid_p4.exe then normalize.exe...those to programes scan the whole AC3, but when the encoding begins it encodes for a few minutes and then shuts down.

I tried to just encode the AC3-file with Gordian Knot, and there was no problem.

Lame crashes during encoding of the WAV, so nothing we can do here. You can try using different versions of LAME (unsupported by me though - they may have some other problems).

Just in case, see Hardware problems / How to test system stability (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54130).

But howcome it works with Gordian Knot?

Latest AutoGK works with Azid/Normalize/Lame combo, while GK uses BeSweet. Do you see Lame.exe failing in the middle of encode or its just supplied with incomplete WAV file?

I tried to do the encoding with my new computer, and there was no problem. has to be something wrong with my hardware or bad install.
Non the less thanks for all the help guys:)
