Thanks to Len0x for this nice app (also for Gordian Knot), even though I just use it very rarely it's still a joy at making xvids without wasting time in going detail (even though detail-stuff wouldn't be the problem at all).

I launched AutoGK 1.93 yesterday and feed it with a PAL-source, 25fps (16:9, 720x576) - this is what it is and what AutoGK tells you.

Then I went to hidden options where the user also have two times the possibility to select the framerate.
Even though I guess AutoGK will choose the right value (25fps), 25fps was not selected on it's own, 23.976 was choosen (both) and a user like me get a little bit confused and asks hisself why AutoGK does not select 25fps on its own - what would happen if I would not realize this and press 'ok ' as I changed some other options - will AutoGK use 23.976 or 25 fps.

Idunno, I guess it will be fine, but setting to the right fps-value in hidden options would make more sense IMHO and would therefore be less confusing.

BTW - haven't use the search, time is rare, but I wanted to spend a word on it.

If I understand you correctly, that selected framerate only applies if you activate (check) that hidden option, so no problem there.

That option is supposed to be used only with HDTV sources (I have to check, but it will be ignored for any other source or it might mess up things). See more explanation in the tutorial.

I thought about saving bitrate at credits, so I would enable this option - setting the right fps might help people with less knowledge (not talking about me) - you know hidden stuff has this attracting magic, setting time-values (hour, min, sec) is a bearable task, checking that this fps-value is important for calculating the correct frame-number requires understanding/knowledge, lacking of skills might mess the things up.
I guess people using it know what they do, therefore I called it a 'glitch'.

Ah :)
Only in case of a DVD AutoGK has an idea abouty FPS, in other cases fps is unknown until encoding is begun.
