Hi,

I'm looking for the ultimate video player that exists. Unfortunately none of the current players seem to be the perfect one.

* MPC is good because it has lots of things built-in
* TCMP is good because of the playlist and usability
* VLC is good because it has a lot more built-in but doesn't have any hardware acceleration and no RealVideo support

These are the 3 big ones IMO.

So I'm thinking about collecting all the nice features of each player and give the list to the coders of each (and other players too) so that they can work on the missing things.

In short what are the killer features of your player and why do you prefer one and not the other ?

If VLC would support RealVideo and have a better GUI, it would be perfect. Compared to the others it's really free, available on all platforms and actively developped by more than 3 coders (maybe a dozen or more). I just hope it will catch up to be as usable as the usual DirectShow players...

The interface of Media Player Classic built on top of MPlayer would be the ultimate program :cool:
