nero digital avc question

So: I used to recode my movies to 'regular' nero digital. Now I see that 'AVC' is an option. The question is, when using AVC, should the file size be the same, with a better looking picture, or should the file size be much smaller with an equal or better picture vs regular ND.

Sorry. The Recode application aims for a specific file size (right side on the import screen). If you leave the same file size AVC will be better. If you make the file smaller you can by trial and error acheive the same quality in a dmaller file.
