Retaining settings

I recently bought a digital video camera... it records directly to xvid and i had the idea of putting my other video onto the camera for playback (i really wanna watch my simpsons episodes on the train!!). So i encoded a video using xvid put it onto the SD card put that into the camera... nothing! So i resized the video to be the same size as the video outputted from the camera... something! Too bad that something is a pixelated video that hardly plays... My question is that how do i encode a video with the exact same xvid settings as the one used by my digicam? So try disabling Packed Bitstream / GMC / QPEL if you used them to encode your material and encode @ 640x480 / 30fps.

Thanks for that but the thing is i dont know how to set up these settings in virtualdub or anything like that... can you suggest a good and easy program that will do this type of encoding?

I don't think you can get out of these settings...


In VirtualDub:
AUDIO -> COMPRESSION -> Choose 'XviD' -> 'Configure'
and then, search for the options above and set them as communist wrote.
(I-VOPs to N-VOPs are not settings, these are file statistics; idem for 1 & 2 consec)
