Hi, what a great forum. I have decrypted a DVD using the corect settings suggested by AutoGK for conversion to AVI. I decrypted the DVD to my HD. I then selected that as the source directory and made another filename as the destination directory. Everything seemd to start fine. The Audio said that it had an unidentified language AC3 audio component. The AutoGK did the business.
When I play it back - No Audio.
I have tried with both windows media and real player but no audio.
I wanted highest quality so I set this at 100% in the AutoGK panel.
Have read FAQ's and downloaded ffdshow and installed it. I also installed the dll's msvcr71 and msvcrp71 in order to enable the ffdshow to work. When I open ffdshow nothing seems to happen, whereas before itwould complain that it did not have the above dll's. I guess it must be happy.
I did the whole process again from start to finish and still no sound on my avi.
I must be missing something.
Repeated this a few times and same result, previously decrypted to MPEG and AutoGK'd that and it was the same!
The MPEG had sound though, which is wierd.
Help would be greatfully recieved.
