RV10 - stagnating?

Hi,

Is RV10 still being actively developed?

I've always been a fan of RV, but lately there doesn't appear to have been any new developments. I had a look on the helixcommunity page, and the latest Helix DNA Producer build was from July of last year.

New stuff like Nero Digital, and x246 seems to be taking all the limelight...*grrr*

Karl? Please, spill the beans, what are you guys up to? :D

Yea, I'm interested in knowing what's brewing as well... Considering that many other codecs are making rapid advancement, Real does seem quite dead now. :(

VP6 has been dead for a while before we heard about VP7 ;)

Yes, it has been a little slow lately, but keep in mind RV10 is a mature codec, in some sense 3rd generation. Also, the RealProducer development team currently has almost no resources, and no time for monthly releases :( We all wish for some Producer bugs to be fixed...

Nero Digital and x264 are just starting out, and it is true that with plenty of active development and many releases, they do get a lot of attention. Still, there is activity here as well..

-Slick new FilmShrink for DVD backups.
-RealAnime never stops improving, soon to be version 3.0!
-Updated the RV10 encoder just before Christmas.

Hum... RV10 the version named 10 or the fourcc? Coz, if it's the fourcc, it's been dead for a long time :p
