Trying to speed up when using Quantizer 2...

Well, right now I'm trying to speed up my encodes, and since I'm not looking for a target file size, I want to use a single pass with quantizer 2.00 . But I would like to know, considering that I'm using quantizer 2, which options I could change or disable in order to speed up the encode time, without affecting the quality.

Right now I'm using...

Motion Search Precision: 6 - Ultra High
VHQ Mode: 4 - Wide Search
Trellis quantization: enabled
Chroma optimizer: enabled
Quarter Pixel: enabled
GMC: enabled

Try turning off GMC as it really does very little for bitrate savings and is VERY computationally intensive.

VHQ 1 or 2 should be perceptably identical in most cases to VHQ4, although 4 gives slightly better compression...
