Damaged MKV file help

Hi, I have a MKV file that dosn't work from 2sec - 9sec, so in media player I can just skip it no probs. But i want to edit it, and virtual dub will only import the first 2 secs. Is there a way to fix this, the Video fomat is Divx, OGG sound, and SRT subtitles.
