I have LiteOn dvd burner,iwant to know if it's good idea to make a update firmware,if yes,why?

I don't recommend you flash needLESSly. If the burner is working properly then why in the world would you or anyone disturb it? One does the flashing usually due to problems or overcoming a certain road block.

If you have been having issues with your burner then updating the firmware will usually help. Most firware updates by companies have a changelog that shows what was fixed from one revision to the next in the firmware. If your current firmware is v1.1 and the latest firmware is like v1.8 then I would update anyway. I tend to update my firware every few versions for all my hardware but be careful as messing up a firware update has the potential of destroying the hardware you are updating.
