pal to dvd newbie to conversion

what I would like to do is use dvd decripter to get pal audio and vidio of cd to computer use pulldown to do some conversion. the problem i am running into is the decripter file are m2v and pulldown is looking for mpv files. How can i get files of dvd to format pull down uses. Once i get to this stage then i can decied witch way i want to proceed
