This card has MPEG2 hardware encoder. Does anybody know is it possible to use this hardware encoder to encode video files (not only live TV programs) as well as to do real time encoding in video capture, whether bundled software installs DirectShow codec which make use of the cards hardware encoding capability?

I'm wondering this too...
I'd like to use my PVR2000 card for hardware encoding, but can this be done from another source outside of the TV Tuner? (External program, perhaps?)
