I have a DVD ripped onto my hard drive as a bunch of VOB/IFO files, and would like to encode individual CHAPTERS from this DVD as separate AVI's (in XVID). Now I have gone through the process of DVD-to-XVID conversion using GordianKnot many times, but I have never tried to encode individual DVD chapters as separate AVI's before.

I ran robot4rip with everything checked, so I have a D2V for the video stream, a VBR-MP3 for the audio stream, and a TXT produced by ChapterXtractor telling me the timecode that each chapter begins. My original thought was to just manually input the time ranges for each AVI within Virtualdub, referring to the ChapterXtractor TXT file, but the problem with this approach is that it would only split up the video stream, not the audio stream (and I can't mux a VBR-MP3 audio stream using Virtualdub because it would get desync'd really bad).

Also, ripping individual chapters using DVDDecrypter in IFO mode isn't an option because I don't have the original DVD disc anymore, I only have it ripped onto my hard drive.

Any suggestions?

you can also try a program such as DVDx where it lets you select splitting by chapter to seperate avis.
