skip and voice sync

Some of my backup copies will "skip" and the audio will be out of "sync." If I hit stop on my DVD player, then resume, many times the audio sync is fine. I don't seem to notice this issue with the factory DVD, so I don't think it is a player issue. I am using Shrink 3.2 and Nero 6, with a Benq 16X burner. Most backups seem to be ok. Thanks. We may have had one factory disc which did the same thing.
The dvd player is a Memorex MVD 2042. Any ideas?

hi and welcome to the forum,
this sounds an awefull lot like a bad media issue to me. you'll probably want to try buying more expensive media, for suggestions which media should work well with your burner/standalone go to www.dvdrhelp.com
