ts to mpeg 2 conversion

HI People
Wish to covert ts files,some with ac3 audio, back to mpeg2 format for editing 3 min video clips.Previous forum entries suggest editing after transcoding to dvd compliant files rather than in ts format.

Have demuxed files with project x.Suggestions appreciated to convert files to mpeg2 with highest sound quality.

Files demuxed from a transport stream are already MPEG2.

Hi,
You can edit them using cuttermaran from Doom9 > download >
digital tv > cuttermaran.
It can also mux your output to a compliant stream keeping
original audio quality using mplex (included with cutty).
Mplex can also handle ac3 streams.

Or you can use nerovision to 'make movie' and just add
both your audio and video files to the timeline and voila!
(choose 'all files' to see .m2v files in nerovision).
