I burn movies that play on my home theater system.I recently lent one to my parents after I watched it,and it wouldnt play on their Sony DVD player.I dont recall the exact error message, but it was a region error. Is there a way to bypass this error and allow them to watch this DVD? I can reburn the DVD if all it takes is a simple adjustment to the burn process or something.I think the error message is "Playback prohibited by area limitations."
Is there anything I can do?

hi and welcome to the forum,
this would be really strange... usually all ripping methods get rid of any region code limitations, actually you would have to force most applications into _not_ doing that.
anyway, if it really was a region protection, just rip it with dvddecrypter. this should remove the region code...
alternatively ifoedit does the job pretty nicely...

So, if I use DVD Decrypter to burn it,and my parents DVD player had a regional protection on it---they will now be able to watch the movie when they werent before? I suppose I would have to convert the movie to an ISO image them.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
