I have some Xvid dvd rips I made (of my own shop bought dvd`s) some with AC3 audio and some with mp3 audio.

Demuxed the video and audio on their own play fine on my Yamada 6100 standalone player, if I mux them in VirtualDubMod they play fine on it as well but muxed with AVI_Mux_Gui they will not play.

On it`s own the video plays fine, the divx player says "Reading index" and then it plays. Muxed it then says instead "Play" and the player just freezes up with a black screen.

I know it is a settings issue but not which one so if I post my settings files, just the mp3 one can somebody advise which settings are incorrect or need adding please?

And yes I did read the manual :)

The settings file used for mp3 muxing via command line is:

I hav tried tinkering with the audio settings as I think it`s something to do with interleaving but no success yet, allthough it plays fine on my Xbox and pc.

The audio is mp3 cbr at 112 K but occasionally I use vbr mp3, I did try the cbr settings but it didn`t make a difference :(

Thanks.

what if you write a standard avi instead of an openDML one? you can also try the profiles in the AVIMux GUI directory.

Okay, first time I`ve done this but I messed up and have just found what it was.

I did search for AVI_MUX and researched using GUI on the end, found you needed to tick reclists but this didn`t work. The same post said about profiles so I replaced some of my settings for the appropriate profiles (basically the interleave setting of 3 FR) and it worked fine.

Sorry for being a dumbass, I did search but missed the one post I found an answer in and couldn`t delete this thread.

So I admit, the answer was elsewhere on the forums all along and I managed to miss it :o
