I have this video (shark tales) and the audio is encoded in AC3, yet when i play it, there is little to no sound.

Some one suggest for me to turn on DRC in the AC3 filter but that already done and the sound is still very soft???

if im planning to burn this to a SVCD would the sound stay very soft????

You will either have to turn the volume up more or in ac3filter you can use boost to increase the volume as well.

How can i use boost in AC3 filter????

And i would like to know if i were to burn this to VCD would the sound remain soft???? Or does the reencoding from AC3 to watever the VCD is change the volume as well???

run AC3Filter config, and go to GAIN tab. see 'input gain control'.
and drag up slides L,C,R.
or see 'gain', drag up slided Master,Gain either.

You could use BeSweet to do an ac3 to ac3 transcode, but do a gain to increase the volume before you encode to VCD.

it's a playback issue, it won't give a soft sound on the vcd, and it's probably the question most asked on these boards :)

You can go to AC3 filter and set preset to loud, as well as configuring your output speakers.
