Resident evil 2 uses some form of structure protection. I haven't tried this one myself, so I can't confirm that this has anything to do with it. I guess scenarist will choke on those 0 frame cells though. If those cells don't do much I would just replace them by 15 frame dummies.

ripe73... i did that movie and it worked.. but i dunno how cause it shouldnt have.. i think i got lucky

you may want to try vob id demux.. i have to try it again when i get a chance. we are working on the issue. (would effect all structure protected films)

I got RE to work too, all though I am in NTSC land. I think i remember when ripping that DVD Decryptor complained about the structure and inserted dummy sectors. That all said the DVD came out fine.

Do i really need the dummy cells???...cant i just skip them and go for the "moviecells"??or the audio will be out of sync...
The only reason for the dummycells is to protect from shrinkprogram?? because i tried to shrink the mainmovie with dvdshrink and it complain over bad structure.

The structure protection is mainly aiming at transcoder users (like shrink). Skipping the cells might lead to sync problems, but I'm not quite sure. I'm trying to get my hands on this one myself for some analysis.

OK,i counted the frames of the dummycells and have a total of 136 frames .A dummymaker would be nice ;) there you can specif number of frames and make a startdummycell for movies like this.

tbh although i have not yet come across an Arcoss title (luckily i live in r4 pal land) , from what i understand, the biggest effect of these discs is in regards to subtitles and the creation of a negative delay(that is, the non-creation of ). the fix for this (thanks D3s7) is currently under heavy testing. beyond this issue, i could not believe that the interim issue would be nothing more than a few well placed dummy files .... please prove me wrong...

I tried to demux it by vobid and scenaid compile the movie without any errors :) ..the bad thing is after the warnings in the beginning of the movie everything goes black and nothing happens. If i press next the movie jump to Time 00:48  so the movie is still fucked up  also the end time shows 02:12:05 but the true length of the movie is around 01:30

The solution for me was to not use Vobid 1 at all...everything plays fine now but the movie was over sized with 250mb so i have to reencode it.

These new movies w/ the protected dummy cells are being a pain :)

I've got a couple currently and I'm redoing the way dummy cells are made/created which should help w/ these

This has been discussed in many threads. Take a look at this:
