View Full Version : Searching for Scenarist Window; But error closed Scenarist.

I'm following this guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/scenaid.htm). After pressing go on DoItFast4U, everything became more or less automated. I followed the guide, however some error popped up (I didn't get the text; it seemed pretty random though; something wrong at sector (0x0004312***something))

In Scenarist Automation LOG it stopped after *waiting for compile to finish, and is now *Searching for Scenarist Window.

Are there any logs I could post to better show what's going on? Is there something I could do to make it resume, or should I start this over?

at what point did the error occur? Was this after scenaid?
Did you use NuMenu4u - did this complete without error?
What version of scenarist are you running?

Right after it's done with CCE; the auto-scenarist starts up (I assume it's through scenaid), then it says it's looking for the scenarist window. The 2nd time I tried it an error opened asking me to manually close scenarist, which I did through Task Manager. Then I pressed OK on the error box and nothing happened.

Did you use NuMenu4u - did this complete without error? I used the exact process explained in the guide.

What version of scenarist are you running?
I'm using v3.0.1.121142

Weirdly; I tried to open DVD Scenarist manually, after DIF4U had been closed down, and it closed for by some error (no pop-up, just froze and windows error made it close). However when I tried a 2nd time it opened perfectly. I'm going to troubleshoot a bit; I'd hate to do this backup with DVD Shrink.

Hi there Fars33r you should try Scenarist version 2.7 or no later than version 3.0. Later versions are known to be error prone with the big three. In short: to avoid a lot of hazzle you should "downgrade" your scenarist version to either 3.0 or 2.7.

Kind regards
