This is probly a question that belongs in the newbies section, but what the hey. I tried to search the forum for help on this but couldn't find any, so sorry If this is a problem already dealt with, but i did try.
When I encode Audio from VOB files, I used to do it using Decodevob followed by A c++ app I wrote using DirrectX filters for AC3->WAV, then mux them together in VirtualDub, converting the wav to mp3 along the way. However, when I try to encode in mp3, the highest option available is 56kbps, which isn't good enough as far as i'm concerned.
One solution would involve using nandub and using mp3 audio source , having done AC3->Mp3 with my app, but that would involve re-writing my app, which was written a long time ago and I can't remember how the DirectX filters work. I could also use Besweet, I believe, to the same effect, But if possible I would like to continue using VirtualDub.
Is there any way of increacing the bitrate above 56?
