Have been doing dvd9 to dvd 5 back ups with ifoedit and have several questions.

Is it possible to do a "disc 2 only"? Have wanted to do the split differently on disc 2 and the only way I have figured to do it is to re-run a "split to 2 disc" again.

Have found that if I split the main movie, say vob 1 and the extras are vob 2-5, then I need to add in blank or dummy vobs 2-5 to get the disc to burn from the HD. I have been manually renaming a small vob that make multiple copies of. Is there an easier way???

What is the difference between a NTSC and PAL dvd? Can I play a back up of a PAL disc in a NTSC machine by altering the IFO where it says PAL and overwrite with NTSC???

Backed up "Barbie Swan Princess" and it runs fine on computer dvd drive (power DVD). In the stand alones, the movie has a stutter, jumping frame to frame in a jerky way, not smooth like in the computer dvd drive. Any ideas why?

Sorry about the multiple questions. Tried to search for like problems but did not find any.

Thanks in advance as always!

Here's some idea of what I'm getting at.

Now for your disc 1 and disc 2 with all the consecutive blank cells, I would use a cell command to skip it to it's proper place. Here's a thread to give you some help.

What is the difference between a NTSC and PAL dvd?You can do a google on this or search the forum as this is explained in many places.

Can I play a back up of a PAL disc in a NTSC machine by altering the IFO where it says PAL and overwrite with NTSC???Read mpucoder's post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=374341#post374341) on this matter or you can peruse the thread.

It's explained here (http://ifoedit.wh.fr0zen.com/calcsec.html) in the first sentence.

WoW, thanks for the help and so quickly.

The disc 2 advice seems complicated. May be better to keep doing the double runs and then delete the unwanted ones (2a and 1b).

As for the PAL, got several PAL discs in Germ; all play on my computer; all but one play on NTCS standalone. The one that won't play on the standalone-decrypted to the HD and it runs on computer. When burned the files to dvd5; it won't run in stand alone. Very confusing?

On the barbie back up. Yes did the 'get sectors' and still has skipping.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

Maybe I'm not reading you right and I was in a rush so forgive me for not paying attention.

I assume you are doing DVD-9 to 2 DVD-5s. If so, what exactly do you want on disc 1 and disc 2? I'm brain dead at the moment trying to understand your disc 2 only. It almost sounds like you want to resplit disc 2.
