i want to convert a video ts file to mpeg2. i've tried using womble mpeg wizard and as it goes from one vts file to the next it seems to hiccup and is not a smooth transition at all. playing the ts on my pc and all is fine. i want to do this so that i can then edit, convert (from ntsc to pal) and make a menu, and as i'm fairly new to this using mpegs is something i'm comfortable with.
thanx

DVD Decrypter will allow you to de-multiplex the streams of a dvd onto your hard drive as individual files (ie an m2v video stream and an ac3 audio stream). VirtualDubMod and TMPGEnc can both open m2v files, and you can do all the tinkering you want.

Colin is working with a Transport Stream, Paulcat, not a DVD.

DGIndex (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Decoders/dgmpgdec110.zip), also known as DGMPGDec, supports the decoding of transport streams. More information on the tool can be found in the DVD2AVI / DGIndex (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=5) forum, and you may also want to look into the HDTV / DVB / TiVo (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=64) forum too.
