hiya to all!!!


how can i change the PRIMARY IDE Channel to SECONDARY IDE Channel, to make it fast, decrypting takes an HOUR to complete in my other PC, while in my other PC takes only 15 mins...

the settings on other PC looks like this

device 0
Transfer Mode : DMA If Available
Current Transfer Mode : PIO Mode


device 1
Transfer Mode : DMA If Available
Current Transfer Mode : Ultra DMA Mode 2

You can't. There is no sense in doing that, anyway.

That's not the way it works. Both IDE ports are equally fast.

Transfer Mode : DMA If Available
Current Transfer Mode : PIO Mode

Your problem is that this device is running in PIO mode. Go inte device manager, remove that device, reboot. Windows will detect your optical drive again, and this time it should run in UDMA mode.

so, how do i remove the device? uninstall? what are the steps pls?

start buton>setting>control panel>system>hardware>device manager>dvd/cd-rom drives>right click it>remove>reset>set to udma<ultra-dma>
done ^-^
