I've never used R4R, and I don't have it to try it on, cause it's the first thing I bin with the GK pack...but I'll try to help a bit.

You're trying to rip with GK, that is, rip to an avi? or do a dvd copy? It seems to me that the full copy button is about dvd decrypter making an image of the dvd to the HD for burning maybe..In which case, if you want to make an avi, it's no use to you whatsoever. On top of it, you have a pgc selected (which is the thing to do when you want to make an avi file), so obviously, full copy wouldn't apply.

My guess is once you've selected the pgc that corresponds to the movie(I would think it selects automatically, because that's what it does in dvd decrypter, which is the 1st end app for R4R), like in the picture, hop on to PGC rip, simply, then carry on to Index/demux and so on; I wouldn't worry about full copy at all.

have you seen this guide: http://www.doom9.org/r4r-guide.htm ??

and especially, have you followed the first time setup instructions exactly.... the button beiing grayed out usually means that you have some kind of konfiguration error...

also, this is no support forum, all members here help on a voluntary basis, so actually complaining about getting no help is pointless, even more likely counter- productive...

cheers

I'll try to help.

one reaso for the start button to be grayed is if you have not configured correctly the path for DVDDecripter...

Check This. Inside robo4rip go to Tools->properties(Cntrl+Alt+P)

In the 2 page (Full Copy / ISO Image) check if the path to dvddecripter is right... Usually C:\Programs Files\GordianKnot\DVDDecrypter\DVDDecrypter.exe

Generally speaking you have to check all paths. One tricky one is the path for DVD2AVI in the Indexing /demuxing page.

They have changed dvd2avi for DGIndex (a newer clone of dvd2avi)
if you don't change this path you we'll have more problems.

Hope this solves your problem. and don't quit Gnot... is the best.

Hi there, I too had that problem which the Green "Start" on R4Rip was greyed out. I double checked all Paths to the various files and reseted them, i.e. DVDecrypter, DGIndex etc and volia, the Green Start was good to Go!
