uh? 20i? which standard is it?
there are only two standards
25i (also called 50i) eg. for PAL
30i (also called 29.97i, 60i, 59.94i) eg. for NTSC
I have tried hicon32 half a year ago.
I did output 2/3 of black frames the other 1/3 of frames looked like a stupid bob().
have a look for the avisynth-function mvbob() it generally should give you nice results.
But processing speed is around one frame per second on my 1.4 GHz system.

i tried it, it has quite similar results as hicon and a bit better that smoothdeinterlace. But all the results are flickering. Is there some possibility to reduce it. i am trying to get quality, the speed doesnot matter too much. i doesnot understand the scripts, but have an idea - is it possible using the mvtools where are big objects moving and for the complement(rest) do deflickering (i tried convolution3D in vdub and the result is quite good, but where is motion, there is the trace of course.) thank you!
