View Full Version : Ray - 2 titles not seperate

Hello,

I just bought Ray and wanted to back it up. I ripped it to my harddisk with Decrypter. Seems to have worked fine. I have Nero Recoder and found that it wants to compress the movie considerably. It looks like both versions of the movie (theatrical / one with extras scenes) are combined into one line item and cannot be seperated. Any advice - I only want the main movie.

Thank you,

Anthony

Go up to View and unchecked "Combine Shared Titles".

Hello 2COOL,

Thank you for the reply, but I do not see a view menu on Nero Recoder2.

Any thoughts,

Anthony

Sorry, I don't use Recode but I mistakenly referred you to DVD Shrink. Why don't you give that a try?

BTW, I found this Nero Recode 2 (http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/31_1.html) guide for you.

Thanks for the extra effort 2COOL. I downloaded DVD Shrink. I then went to the view menu and deselected combine shared titles. Then went to the second title and tried to replace it with a picture to save space but it did the same thing for the first title also. Do I need to set something else differently?

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Anthony

I haven't done Ray yet but it looks like you have seamless branching. Both your titles are sharing the same cells. Are you keeping menus? If not, just drag the version in question since they are separated now.

Hello 2COOL,

I did not realize I could keep menus if I reauthored a disk. Do you have info on this or a link for me to go to?

Here's another great suggestion if you are keeping menus. I have a Aspect Ratio menu removal guide which worked on DVDs with widescreen and fullscreen version. It's pretty much the same the same concept with theatrical and other one with extras scenes.
