View Full Version : NuMenu4U doesn't see CCE; even after I show path...

I've been using the following guide:
http://www.doom9.org/mpg/scenaid.htm
When I reach Step 2: Demuxing and finish with DoItFast4U, NuMenu4U is supposed to launch and it's supposed to launch CCE. However when NM4U opens, an error pops up saying:
"No Encoder Selected or Encoder Path Not Found - Reselect Encoder"
I've reinstalled CCE in vain because of this. Regardless it still doesn't recognize the CCTSP.EXE
Is this a common error? I assume it's something small that I have overlooked.

Please read the latest numenu post.... the recent changes specifically say you now need to select the CCE Encoder directly....
this is a change from the guide

It won't allow it; even if I choose the path, when I click the Encoder Tab again, CCE (along with all other encoders) is greyed out. I read the NuMenu4U thread, it didn't relate to my problem. Unless there is another way to select CCE through this app?

Under the Encoder Tab I can select:
Encoder Settings Path To Cinema Craft Encoder Executable (I have v2.67 which is supported) Path [other encoders] Encode With Cinema Craft Encoder [Greyed out] Encode with [other encoders; also Greyed out]
I've restarted my PC, Restarted the app through DoItFast4U, Restarted the app on it's own (each time I try and select the path, but when I do nothing happens). I've reinstalled and set-up NuMenu4U, DoItFast4U, CCE and the other apps needed for this guide to be followed. I insist on using CCE as I am confident it's a better encoder than ReJig.
Is there really no option to make this work properly less than using an older version?

open up numenu4u
go to encoder tab
select 'path to CCE executable', navigate to ccespt.exe, highlight the program, and select 'ok'
you should then notice in the main log window a note:
CCE product selected is CCE version x.....
go back into the encoder tab and you should see that 'encode with Cinema Craft Encoder' is now selected.

I have found a problem when the cce executable is named differnetly to my installed builds. The present build will not recognise a CCE executable if it doesn't have cce in the executable filename. I have changed this to also recognise cct (used for basic versions). Perhaps this is the problems. What is the exact name of your executable?

It was called ccspt.exe, as soon as I renamed it to ccespt.exe it was immediately recognized. What a weird problem. Thanks D3s7, jel, Zeul! :)
